THE ORIGINS OF A GREAT NAME
The name Morin comes from the family's Moorish roots. This great name has been part of local history since 1485, when one of the family's ancestors was in charge of salt taxes in Nuits-Saint-Georges.

1849 THE RAILROAD
The arrival of the railroad in Nuits-Saint-Georges in 1849 greatly facilitated the dispatch of Morin Père & Fils wines, both within France and for export.

1934 THE FRATERNITY
Jean Morin was one of the co-founders in 1934 of the famous Confrérie des Chevaliers du Tastevin, the brotherhood of Burgundy wine enthusiasts, alongside Georges Faiveley and Camille Rodier.

1960 THE GENERAL
General Charles de Gaulle had a special liking for the Maison's Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru, which he served during his presidency at official receptions in the Elysée Palace.

1987 A NEW ÉLAN
The maison Morin became part of Boisset La Famille des Grands Vins, one of Burgundy's leading wine groups, in 1987.
